This document presents the synthesis and recommendations of the group of experts assembled by Inserm (French National Institute for health and medical research) as part of the collective expert report procedure set up in response to the request made by the French Authority General of Health – Direction générale de la santé (DGS) concerning Alzheimer’s disease and its scientific, medical and societal implications. This work is based on the scientific data available in the first half of 2007. The documentary base of this expert report is made up of some 2,000 articles.
