Les sources bibliographiques informatisées
Résumé
The aim of this paper is to review the different electronic biomedical bibliographic services which help researchers to follow the scientific literature. First of all, we compare the features of Reference Update and Current Contents on diskette which both deliver weekly informations. Our analysis suggests that Current Contents is more powerful and faster than Reference Update. Then we describe other database services which allow researchers access to a large bibliographic database either by subscribing to a periodic service (Inserm-Ima, Cnrs-Inist, Subis) or by getting an account with an on-line database service (Questel, Dialog, DataStar etc). We conclude by outlining perspectives offered by the increased availability and use of biomedical information systems.
